The minimum is 3 puttonyos and the maximum is 6 puttonyos. The higher the number of puttonyos, the sweeter the wine. Above the 6 puttonyos, you have the "Aszu Escenzia" and "Escenzia". The minimum legal sweetness levels per wines are:
- 3 puttonyos 60 g/l residual sugar
- 4 puttonyos 90 g/l residual sugar
- 5 puttonyos 120 g/l residual sugar
- 6 puttonyos 150 g/l residual sugar
