| VINIFICATION |
Green harvesting in the summer. The harvest is done exclusively by hand with a selection in the vineyards. The vinification, traditional, is carried out in ciment (epoxy-lined) vats with constant temperature controls. The wine is then aged in one-year-old oak barrels for 20% of the production. |

| STYLE |
Beautiful colour. To the nose, the wine is fruity with a subtle touch of spices (peppers). This grand Pomerol (big, mouth filling, medium-bodied wine) is marked by the dominance of the Merlot. Fruit flavours dominate and give this wine a distinctive cachet. Fine, elegant and savoury tannins. Hermitage Mazeyres will gain even more complexity with another 2-3 years and will be a beautiful drink over the coming 5 years.
Perfect with red meats, game (wild) prepared in sauce or with creamy and strong cheeses. |
