120 hectares (80 hectares planted) enviably situated just to the south of Mouton Rothschild. Gravely and siliceous soil from the quaternary, on a clayey and chalky subsoil. Amongst the Médoc’s great “terroirs” ! |

60% Cabernet Sauvignon
33% Merlot
5% Cabernet Franc
2% Petit Verdot
Average age: 35 years |

| PRODUCTION |
6,000 – 7,000 cases (starting with vintage 2000) |

| VINIFICATION |
The harvest is done manually. The cuvaison lasts three weeks, in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is then matured in barrels during 14-16 months. |

| STYLE |
Deep red colour. Good complexity on the nose: liquorice, black berries,, touch of oak. To the palate, the attack is full and round. Good tannic structure and ripeness.
Great pleasure from this second wine which is a great introduction to the more complex and sophisticated Grand Vin. Excellent for drinking over the 1st five years after release. Another good value ! |
