Though many simply refer to this as the 2nd wine of Ch. Palmer, the Château's directors insist that it is NOT a Second wine but rather just another wine of Palmer.
Alter Ego does not come only from specific parcels, nor is it systematically from younger vines, nor even the result of specific vinifications. Simply another Palmer selected out of the wines showing fruitiness and suppleness, built to come to maturity earlier: a softer, more friendly version of the Grand Vin. |
